A Valentine Poem

A heart’s the symbol of a valentine,
the valentine, a statement of love.
The cross is the picture of love divine, painted by the Father above.

O love divine, O perfect one,
your love has ransomed me,
O lamb of God, O glorious Son,
forever I am free.

Love dipped his brush into the crimson pail
His weeping endured through the night
The sorrow he’d known
soul wrenching travail
Burst into joy and danced with delight!

O love divine, O perfect one,
your love has ransomed me,
O lamb of God, O glorious Son,
forever I am free.

Love’s painting is finished
but not complete
Until all have come, he’ll not be through
Love’s invitation,
“please come and meet
This one who’s called Jesus. He died for you.”

O love divine, O perfect one,
your love has ransomed me,
O lamb of God, O glorious Son,
forever I am free.
