Secret Place

Come closer, dear ones. I would like to tell you a secret. It’s really about a secret place; a place of covering and camouflage, protection and provision.

It’s a place few people find, though it’s been talked about for centuries.

Many believe the place doesn’t exist; but those who find it never want to leave.

It’s a wide, broad place, but the entrance is smaller than the eye of a needle.

To enter requires no secret handshake or even a certain percentage of one’s income. Even the tithe won’t open the door to this special, secret place.

There’s no one so bad they can’t live in this secret place I’m referring to; but no one can enter because they’re good enough.

Many an adversary have attempted to invade and demolish this wonderful place, but all have failed. It’s a forever kind of place, a place no one wants to leave; though many have allowed themselves to be coerced into leaving.

What a shame.

Surely you know what place I’m talking about, don’t you? It’s the secret place of the Most High; the secret place of God Almighty.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2 AMP)

The secret place of the Most High is the greatest, safest, and most loving place in all the universe! The Garden of Eden cannot compare with the secret place! Mansions in glory cannot measure up! In fact, without the secret place, Heaven just couldn’t be, Heaven.

Even winning a $300 million Lottery wouldn’t hold a candle to the secret place!

The secret place, the place of refuge, of fellowship, of complete salvation; like no other place.

How can you find this secret place?

Well, can you put your whole trust in Jesus Christ? Can you cast all your care on him, because he cares for you? Can you, WILL you, call upon him as the Lord of your life? Will you LET HIM tell you what to do, what to say, how to think, and what to believe?

Will you “say of the Lord, he is your refuge and your fortress, your God, in whom you trust?”

If so, you’re not far from the secret place.

Jesus is the secret place of God. And he’s as close as the faith in your heart.

“HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness–trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:1 – 91:16 AMP)
