De Nile!
A mighty force, De Nile. It can push aside anything that tries to stand against it; and flood the foundation of anything built too close.
De Nile flows and grows, downward, ever downward; until it becomes so large it covers miles and miles of territory.
It cannot be stopped; its natural tendency to embrace, enshroud, and effect change in everything within its reach constantly drives it, pushing it faster and faster, wider and wider.
Some people attempt to control De Nile, but not without great cost. Others try and harness its intrinsic power; an almost impossible task.
Mankind has studied De Nile for thousands of years. Civilizations have come and gone, but De Nile is still as powerful as ever.
There is only one thing on earth, or in Heaven for that matter, more powerful than De Nile.
The Truth.
When people stop denying their problems, truth will prevail.
As people acknowledge their inability to control themselves, or others, truth will bring about lasting change.
Truth is the strongest building material in the universe. It will withstand any amount of pressure, and will not yield to De Nile.
Truth has been able to create, and recreate; lay down its own life and raise it back up again.
The one who embraces Truth never has to be flooded with the waters of fear, or doubt, or confusion.
Truth never leaves the side of the person committed to it. Even though there may be times of high water, Truth brings them through.
Some have even walked on water, with Truth’s miraculous assistance.
Truth overcomes De Nile; always and forever!
Denial is NOT a river in Egypt; it is a killer of individuals and civilizations. It opposes the true work God desires to do in each of our lives.
It was Truth that declared, “Light be.” And light was, in spite of denial.
Denial is no match for Truth!
“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 ESV)
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36 ESV)
