“…anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)
“Belongs to Christ…” Anyone who receives, by faith, Jesus Christ as The Lord of their life becomes a new creation, a new “fabrication”, a “species of being which never before existed.”
Recreated on the inside, in our “spirit man”, the part of our being that is dead, unresponsive, to God without the life only Jesus brings. “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4)
It’s interesting to realize how every new creation can be fashioned into the likeness of Jesus (Romans 8:29), yet each person be so different. Each person, each individual, totally unique.
Our lives can be so monotonous, so mundane, until we discover who we really are as a new creation. Until we embrace our uniqueness and trust The Lord to fit us, differences and all, into His Body.
We are unique, in Him. Individually, we are one of the many facets, variables, which make up His glorious Body. And as individuals walking in the grace of God, we join our unique gifts, callings, and personalities into one “Light of the World” and a “City set upon a hill.”
Quit acting as though your life is nothing special! Allow God the joy of showing you how your unique beauty can be used to reveal a facet of His glory to your world.
You are unique! Be unique, in Him.
