Besides being used for the obvious, hands can be somehow linked to the mouth’s operation. Ever known a person who “couldn’t talk if their hands were tied”? Of course you have.
The hands may also signal a person’s intent. Understanding “hand signals” people use can be key to knowing a person’s motive or desire. Specifically, how and where their hand is placed ON you can reveal a lot.

On your legs and ankles, you are being held back
But under your feet, you’re being lifted to new heights.
